I am writing to you on behalf of myself and all the women that have suffered from violence. My father killed my mother when I was 6 yrs old. She was 27 and had 3 small children ages 6,4, and 2.We had no counseling or treatment for any issues due to the trauma and I was recently almost killed by and ex-bo...yfriend in Aug 2011. He choked me above his head and almost broke my neck.I am still recovering from those injuries. He is finally in jail after hours of talking to the Da's office in Fannin County GA. because he was still stalking me even 4 mths after he tried to kill me and the police would do nothing. They make things so hard for the victims to get results and Laws need to be changed so that the cycle is broken forever. Please let our voices be heard around the world that we can no longer be victims but victorious! I strongly support the reauthorization as we need to do everything possible to help protect all of the victims of domestic violence. This act has helped to decrease it but we must do more to STOP it. I encourage you to pass this act and revise the law as soon as possible. for some of us it is life and death. Please hear us!
